Greyhawk Source Material

Just a thought...I'd love to see a Greyhawk source book other than the Living Greyhawk Campaign book that really details everything out. In the way of the Forgotten realms campaign guide or the Kingdoms of Kalamar campaign guide. It is such a great world but it seems to me that some of the source material is either too old (making it hard to get your hands on) or just scraped to the bare essentials. But that is just my opinion.

i would have to agree with you, i would love to see a Greyhawk sourcebook printed. I however doubt that we will see it anytime soon, since the only thing Greyhawk related that we have seen since 3rd edition, is the LGG and Empire Gazeteer, and the upcoming Expedition to Greyhawk Ruins. Greyhawk has sooooooooo much potential, and so many fans that love it. I hope that we will see something one day. We can only dream....

I'd like to see an updated campaign setting book. Make it all setting info with no new rules. Greyhawk = core -> the rules are already there. Merge all the RPGA timelines into a master timeline, provide the latest details. Then don't worry about publishing any GH-specific material for another five years or so or until there's another 320 pages worth publishing.

I guess it really ought to be called "Atlas of Oerik Part VI: The Flanaess by Pluffet Smedger". The Domain of Greyhawk is already quite detailed, it's the many other countries of the Flanaess we need more information about. I assume this is what you meant I'm just being a bit of a sm'arse. :D

With the RPGA having being given the OFFICIAL keepers/creators of the World of Greyhawk, I too would love to see what has happened to my beloved flanaess. Especailly because with so much official Canon being created from the RPGA it would be nice to see it collected into one cetral location again for all to look at and be brought up to speed so to speak.

I've given up hope so I'm doing my own! I'm using the past TSR stuff, Oerth Journal, Canonfire, modules, Dragon & Dungeon, and LG material.

Just in the home straight for Keoland but what a nightmare, it's about 250 pages and has taken me a year!

Will probably move on to Furyondy next and incorporate the LG stuff with old information from the Marklands.

The biggest problem is that most Triads (who are understandably busy) don't seem to collate information as they go so a lot of gazeteer information from LG modules (names of villages, geographical landmarks, and minor npcs) is being lost over time. I think some information on the major cities is being stored up, but it isn't easy to get hold of it.

For now I have so much other information to work with, begging Triads for information is something I'm tabling for the future!

Sadly, I have so much copyrighted and 'borrowed' material incorporated into the my Word documents, I could never release any of my gazeteers!

I know what you mean, When I was playing LG in the Duchy of Urnst, I took it upon myself to got through all the mods from Year 1, 2 and 3 and make note of all the named NPCs, where they were, what class/proffesion they were, whether they were noble and if so what House they belonged too, etc, etc, etc.

I also made maps of the Duchy of Urnst, and plotted on the maps the locations of all the Year 1 mods for the Duchy of Urnst.

Sadly, I was the only person who even went so far as do such stuff, and I no longer play the game, and my notes are likely lost to the ether.

I still have your map from year 1! The Duchy was one of the first regions I did and that information was really useful actually and formed the basis for my gazeteer of the region. There wasn't that much canon information on the Duchy so my entry is fairly small compared to Keoland or Ahlissa. I, for one, appreciated your efforts.

And now I feel really bad that my bibliography went kaput at a very early stage. Rest assured I will release no intellectual property!

That's a terrible shame. I'd love to see the info you had.

I mapped out southern Duchy of Urnst from just about one end of the country to the other for my own game.
