I used to play DS in its Glorious days of Second Edition. I own almost every sourcebook but since it was dropped from TSR product line I put them all in my bookshelves. My wife showed me an expansion set, Cities by the Sea of Silt (which I missed) so I bought it and here I am learning how to update from 2 to 3.0. I have the PHB v3.0
What I need to read first to update my campaing from V2.0 to v3.5

I would say that you should head over to www.athas.org and get all the 3.5 material that has already been done by your friendly neighborhood templars.
From there, you will have much less work and more fun ahead of you.
Also - you should check out the awesome sig at the bottom of this post - the material there will blow your mind and flip your wig because of its awesomeness.

IMO, do yourself a favour and ditch the 3.0 book for a 3.5 Player's Handbook.
The 3.0 Ranger (a rather important class for DS) is extremely underpowered, among other things.
