#1MulhullApr 22, 2007 3:26:53 | What kind of version is it the folks at athas.org have of Dregoth Ascending and Secrets of the Dead Lands. I want to get the original versions, not altered, of SOTDL and DA, the ones that were to be released in 1997 before Dark Sun was canceled, and given to the 97 Gen-Con DMs. |

I belive they have the versions that would have been compatible with 2nd ed. AD&D, which is why it took a while for them to be released, because of the time it took to convert them to 3.0/3.5 And I believe the licensing prohibits them from sharing the original forms... I think it was kind of a "Convert this or forever hold your peace" kind of agreement. So, to get original versions, you would probably have to find someone not affiliated with Athas.org, perhaps original designers, or former employees of TSR that may still have a copy somewhere laying around... because I don't think Athas.org folks can share that without a serious breech of contract and such. At least, I think thats the case, as it has been asked for several times in the past two or three years. |

#7MulhullApr 23, 2007 1:02:41 | Hm, pm me your e-mail adress and I will forward it to someone who will send you the file ;). Like I was saying the 97 Gen Con DMs have it. There's two who told me they couldn't give me it back then, but perhaps they can now. |
