#2nightdruidApr 28, 2007 10:06:52 | Some, not many, though. In the original boxed set, it is noted that "outsiders" (demons, devils, elementals, & the like) don't like being in wildspace. However, a demon played a role in creating the Master Lich of the Legend of the Spelljammer, and demons figure heavily in one of the metaplots of the Astronumdi Cluster (in the background, mostly). In many cases, their role is very generic and light on specifics & details. |
#3ripvanwormerApr 28, 2007 11:56:31 | Spelljammer was published at a time when demons and devils were officially deemphasized or not used at all in AD&D, so they don't get the glory they might have had if Spelljammer had been created earlier or later. For example, there's a spelljamming organization called the Tenth Pit that's said to be allied with lawful evil extradimensional creatures - the implication is that they're devil-worshippers, but it doesn't specifically say so. There's a lot that could have been added to their flavor if they had been more specific. |
