#29CthulhudrewMay 04, 2007 10:25:55 | Okay- all done. Now we have a "living" thread for listing acronyms that we commonly use in our discussions here and elsewhere. If you see any acronyms or think of any that we use a lot that aren't listed here, post them, and I can add them into the thread. I'll also amend the FAQ with a link to this page so that we can send them over to this thread. |
#30gazza555May 04, 2007 10:29:23 | Possibly CCCI - Consolidated Converted Creature Index SCMC - Savage Coast Monstrous Compendium Regards Gary BTW. Great way to catch up with Greyhawk ;) |
#31CthulhudrewMay 04, 2007 10:45:28 | BTW. Great way to catch up with Greyhawk ;) I assure you, that had nothing to do with it. (Though the thought had occurred to me. Updated the list with your suggestions, and put a link to the CCCI as well. Also put in a couple of additions of my own.) What would be really cool, though I'm sure not conceivably functional, would be to be able to link to these terms on the board when they're used in threads, so that people could just click the link, or have a popup window appear with the translation. Again, probably not something that WotC could/would be able to provide us on the boards, but something that would be nice to include in a revised/updated FAQ on the Vaults. (Actually one of the things that got this portion of the FAQ hung up so long on my end- I was hoping/planning to implement something like that in the html code, but got bogged down in the details and ended up putting the whole project on the backburner. It's definitely possible, though.) [EDIT- Hmm... in retrospect, maybe I should have just had one long post, rather than separate posts for each letter of the alphabet. Not sure, now, though I guess it's water under the bridge.] |
