#1vonzruckerMay 09, 2007 2:08:18 | Who was he? What was with his arm? Was it ever revealed in print? Just a question that's been in my head since the very first day over 10 years ago when I bought the 2nd Edition Revised boxed set. Does anyone know? -Von |
#2j0ltMay 09, 2007 2:33:31 | According to the Wanderer's Journal included in the original box set, he was an artist-slave of a Tyrian noble. (this is how he learned to read and write) He escaped when he realized that his popularity was waning. Aside from that, nobody knows. |
#3vonzruckerMay 09, 2007 2:47:02 | Hmm. Thanks for that, Jolt. I guess no DS novels never involved him? |
#4j0ltMay 09, 2007 3:25:56 | Not that I can recall, though it has been a few years. |
#5KamelionMay 09, 2007 6:47:27 | The Sorak DS novels feature him. But they're, umm, not very good ;) and many fans disregard their take on the Wanderer. |
#6j0ltMay 09, 2007 8:17:36 | Great, thanks for reminding me Kam! |
#7SysaneMay 09, 2007 8:23:00 | I'd assume that his arm was the by-product of wandering to close to the lands surrounding the Pristine Tower. |
#8brun01May 09, 2007 9:38:13 | That or when he went into Rajaat's Swamp... |
#9ruhl-than_sageMay 16, 2007 17:25:09 | Or, his great grandmother was a Ssurran :D |
#10jon_oracle_of_athasMay 16, 2007 18:16:57 | The Wanderer is kinda oracle-ish. Not including the lizard arm of course;) |
#11cnahumckMay 16, 2007 18:44:03 | Does he have cool-designer-shades as well? |
#12SysaneMay 16, 2007 19:03:15 | Or he was a ssurran that was mutated into mammal form and left with a ssurran arm |
#13kalthandrixMay 16, 2007 19:33:56 | The Wanderer is kinda oracle-ish. Not including the lizard arm of course;) Oracles are lame... |
#14ruhl-than_sageMay 16, 2007 20:00:32 | Champions tasked to exterminate diminutive races are lame :P |
#15kalthandrixMay 16, 2007 21:20:50 | Champions tasked to exterminate diminutive races are lame :P Oh ya! Well....your lame! [runs off crying and kicks a tree-hugging runt on the way by] |
#16jon_oracle_of_athasMay 18, 2007 1:43:26 | Oracles are lame... Let´s see. Just the other day you said you were an oracle and was promptly set in place (in a cage). Taking the latest quote into consideration, either you claimed to be lame the other day, or you are just lashing out at oracles because you weren´t approved as an oracle - which would be pretty lame. I guess this means you´re lame no matter what. :D |
#17kalthandrixMay 18, 2007 6:54:15 | Let´s see. Just the other day you said you were an oracle and was promptly set in place (in a cage). I guess this means you´re lame no matter what. :D Negative. Let me break it down for you. I, being me, am always awesome. That is just the natural state of things - like water being wet and pizza being good. I never made the claim of being an oracle - I was just asking the question (or making the statement) of who the oracle is now - seeing as how you may be slipping in your old age :P Never did I say that I was an oracle - that would just be silly because I do not have time to sit around and answer peoples questions all day because killing runts is what I do |
#18j0ltMay 18, 2007 8:54:02 | Negative. Clearly you've never eaten Japanese pizza. |
#19kalthandrixMay 18, 2007 9:05:35 | Clearly you've never eaten Japanese pizza. Actually I have. Course, it was in a Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong, but still - they said it was authentic foods just like they would have had in Japan. I have eaten pizza on every continent except for Antarctica and South America - and have been to over 30 countries and all over the US (a benefit from being in the Marines mostly) - I love pizza Granted - some of it is...different...but variety is the spice of life ;) |
#20ruhl-than_sageMay 18, 2007 18:47:34 | Clearly you've never eaten Japanese pizza. :D , Idaho Special |
#21j0ltMay 19, 2007 9:08:54 | Actually I have. Course, it was in a Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong, but still - they said it was authentic foods just like they would have had in Japan. You're right, variety is the spice of life, but I think someone at Pizza-La switched some of the labels. :P |
#22kalthandrixMay 19, 2007 21:28:43 | You're right, variety is the spice of life, but I think someone at Pizza-La switched some of the labels. :P lol - it was a surprise to have mayo on a pizza, that is for sure! |
#23j0ltMay 20, 2007 5:40:13 | The mayo I can handle, but things like mentaiko or eggplant slices are even worse than putting pineapple on pizza! |
#24kalthandrixMay 20, 2007 14:41:55 | The mayo I can handle, but things like mentaiko or eggplant slices are even worse than putting pineapple on pizza! See - I like pineapples of my pizza. In fact, my favorite combo that I always get at home is pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapenos -hummm yum! And eggplant is basically a flavor and nutiant void plant, and as long as it is done right, I like it. |
#25brun01May 21, 2007 8:36:11 | Humm, eggplant, pineapple, and jalapeno pizza! |
#26kalthandrixMay 21, 2007 9:09:32 | Humm, eggplant, pineapple, and jalapeno pizza! Do you even get cheese on your pizza, brun01? I know your a vegan - so do you not eat any animal products like cheese and milk? |
#27brun01May 21, 2007 11:54:16 | No, and explaining this sort of thing over the pizza delivery place usually creates all sorts of funny situations... |

#30zombiegleemaxMay 22, 2007 20:03:16 | Awww...isn't that sweet. Jon has his own cheerleader now. ok Kal, no just liked the snappy retort hahaha |
#31j0ltMay 23, 2007 9:06:22 | Guys, this tangent clearly has nothing to do with pizza. Let's try to keep this thread on topic so it doesn't get shut down! Geeeeez! |
#32ruhl-than_sageMay 23, 2007 10:30:34 | Guys, this tangent clearly has nothing to do with pizza. As if the moderators even pay attention to the DS forums :D |
#33jon_oracle_of_athasMay 23, 2007 14:45:03 | If you say that they will come. :P |
#34kalthandrixMay 23, 2007 14:55:31 | I have no idea what all this jibber-jabber has to do with the topic at hand, but lets focus people. We all know I am awesome - but do any of you truely realize the level of greatness that you are currently dealing with? You should all be humbled that I would even spend the time that I do reading your threads, let along replying to them or even making the awesomest stuff ever. Bow down! |
