I was just wondering what PRCs from here do you guys allow in your PnP campaigns & what modifications do you make to the classes to make them mesh better with Athas.

I'm fairly lenient towards most PrCs that don't require world specific mechanics or are built around metal and Dragons or ones that require access to a library or spellpool etc. Also divine servant prCs like Radient Servant of Pelor are also out. I'm generally to lazy/busy to modify a class beyond its entry level requirements. Also PrCs for classes that don't really belong on Athas are also out like Warlock prestige classes.

This rules out classes like Green Star Adept, Dragon Disciple, most PrCs in the Draconomicon, Shadow Adept, Red Wizards etc. I don't allow Frenzied Berzerkers or Hulking Hurlers into my games not matter what due to balence reasons.

In general a PC can request a PrC and I'll consider it. I take into account.

1. Is this suitable for Athas? Some are a bit stupid.
2. Is it balenced? Some a bit out of whack.
3. Can I make it fit with minimum fuss?

Most of my favourite ones are a bit mechanically weak like the dual class PrCs like Cerebremancer, Mystic Theurge, Eldritch Knight. Some I tweak a little like the assassin which loses its spells but gains 8 skill points a level.

Any specifics? Do you have an actual assassins guild? In our campaign we've decided that the Shadowdancer PrC is a type of psion with links to the Black, which is the closest thing to the Plane of Shadow in Dark Sun. It works out pretty well.

No assassin guild although each city might have one. Theres also an elf tribe of assassins. The favoured in guild feat in the DMG2 could be used to represent an assassin guild.
