#2samwiseJun 05, 2007 23:34:29 | Party per = the background is two colors bend = divided diagonally along a line from the upper right to the lower left (from the perspective the person carrying the shield, as are the other directions noted below) gules = the right side is red and azure = the left side is blue dexter = on the right side (in the red area) three crowns = are three crowns in bend = in a diagonal line from the upper right to the lower left or = that are gold sinister = on the left side (in the blue area) a decrescent = is a crescent moon with the tips pointing down argent = that is silver |

#4samwiseJun 06, 2007 12:28:32 | Do I know what what represents? Those funny words in general? That is the most common form of herald-speak, a technical jargon involving a bit of Latin that is used to describe coats of arms and such. Those funny words specifically? As the wikipedia entry stated, that is the coat of arms of Furyondy. |
#5zombiegleemaxJun 06, 2007 13:26:12 | You can see the arms here: http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/dreadwood/heraldry.htm If by what it means you mean the symbolism of the arms, aka, what is Furyondy saying about itself, I have no idea nor do I know if any was intended. If I had to guess, I would say the crowns is saying something about the legitimacy of the government but that is just a WAG. |
