Map of Irongate?

Jun 25, 2007 18:53:58 I have found that Maldin's site provides a great map for the dock district but I was curious if a completed map of Irongate can be found anywhere.

I am preparing to start a new campaign set within the walls of Irongate...at least for the first few levels and would like to find a nice map to work from while i plan the campaign outline.

Jun 26, 2007 10:27:48 Check the RPGA's Living Greyhawk for the site link for the region responsible for Irongate. They may just have a map.

For example, before my time was totally consumed by real world things, I was greatly involved with the RPGA and had redone the map for the city of Leukish for the Duchy of Urnst (we really did not like the 'crappy' map from Fate of Istus as it was not very realistic)

Jun 26, 2007 17:36:14 I found that Irongate is included in the Onnwal Region and their site only provides a regional map of Onnwal at this time.

Any other ideas? Sounds like I may have to draw my own map and do things that way... but i don't lose hope so soon that there is not already a map of Irongate out there.

Jun 27, 2007 1:03:04 Hey Scoti! I'm glad you like my map. Irongate lies outside of Onnwal's region (as a Free City), hence the relative lack of information on the LG website.

There is an earlier version of a smaller scale map on the City of Irongate subpage of the Irongate Project section of my website, with javascript pop-up labels. During the course of working on the Irongate Dragon article our ideas for the city evolved a bit, so the final map will likely look a little different.

Unfortunately my high-detail map of Irongate is unfinished, hence the reason why I've only put up the Dock Quarter section of it. It was dragging on so long that I figured putting up a part was better then waiting until it was finished. Finding time to work on it (along with all the other projects I'm trying to do) has always been a problem. Later this summer I'm hoping to be able to put some time into it. I'm hoping that people will find what I have planned to be worth the wait! I'll certainly post an announcement here on the WotC Greyhawk board and on the Canonfire board when it goes up.

Still have to work on the new City of Greyhawk map as well! :: sigh :: So much to do, so little time!

Thanks for the repoint to the map with the pop-ups. I printed that out and I believe I will try to mark the map for general use. Major props for taking this project on and so many others. Definitely post when it is done. I have loved your work on city maps in the past and look forward to another beautiful piece of work.
