#1nightside_samuraiJul 04, 2007 16:50:04 | Hi everyone! I needed some help for storylines for a group with a strange composition. Here are the details: The party is level 5 and is composed of: Yashi'Oshei Elven LG Paladin of Paladine (that's a tongue twister) with a Unicorn mount named Waterlily. Lomahr Half-Giant* CG Psychic Warrior who weilds an enormous greatsword. *Lomahr is my NPC and I'm playing his race a little differently. Mechanically, he plays as the normal Half-Giant from the SRD, but I had him explain to the Paladin when they met, that his mother was a Qualinesti Elf and his Father some kind of Giant, but he never met them due to being sold into slavery. Their first encounter involved them saving a temple to Paladine from a trio of Howlers. I plan on having the High Priest of the Temple send them on a quest for something but I can't think of what. The time period I'm in is right after Silvanost is turned into a crater and the Paladin has just arrived in Palanthas. Any help would be appreciated Thank you. |

#3nightside_samuraiJul 04, 2007 19:04:47 | Nope, just a straight Pally. My wife isn't into that type of stuff (she's the Paladin) and I'm just running a simpler game to introduce her into the feel of DL. I just have a hard time thinking up coherent plots to connect everything with. |
#4zombiegleemaxJul 05, 2007 9:27:21 | Elves really dont use unicorns in DL as mounts. |
#5nightside_samuraiJul 05, 2007 17:11:02 | It's more of a mutual partnership and I'm going to use it as a plot hook to bring the party to the Unicorn's forest of origin. I plan to do a meeting with the young mount and the "Keeper of the Forest". And also I'm looking for "can do's" as opposed to "can nots", Thanks :D |
#6zombiegleemaxJul 07, 2007 11:46:03 | Well, you can do anything you want, it is your game, but it might not have the feel of a Dragonlance game. |
#7zombiegleemaxJul 09, 2007 7:40:47 | I love Dragonlance, but the one problem I always seem to have is the time settings. I know I'm gonna sound like an idiot, but what do you mean by "Silvanost is turned into a crater"? This would help me toss out a few ideas, a lot. |
#8nightside_samuraiJul 09, 2007 13:52:34 | I know that Beryl died in Qualinost and formed the Lake of Death, but in my campaign it happened in Sylvanost and instead of a lake, it's a big crater. Qualinost has basically taken a page from their cousin's book and closed the borders to outsiders but occasionally a young person will sneak out and hit the road for some adventure or revenge against the people hurting the Elves. |
