well as has been kicked around by a couple of guys I mainly talk gameing with(as finding the time for all of us to actually get together to play is... well not impossibly but highly improbable), we've been discussing the viablity of the Sublime Way in Ravenloft. where or how, or even does the Tome of Battle have a place in Ravenloft? and if so, any clues in how to properly incorperate it?

I think it can fit fine, its just a matter of flavor.

Firstly, I would remove the whole "sublime way" backstory from it. Its not really Ravenloft-esque.

Second, I would tie each base class to something that makes sense to you. For instance, the crusader is just full of Ravenloft flavor, gothing horror having such an intense seudo-religious theme, particularly in a place like Barovia.

My Vistani darklings are all dual classed rogue/swordsages. I always thought that the Vistani have a few tricks up their sleeve and a rogue/swordsage build just seems to fit them well.

As for the Warblade, he really isn't anything more than a flashy fighter. Some people look at him and see a kung-fu flick inspired class. I look at the warblade and see Achilles. Its just a matter of the flavor your give it. My half-vampire, mineral warrior warblade NPC is actually the last surviving member of the Royal Markith Hunters of Zherisha. I think flavor wise, he works just fine.

ehhh while the Sublime Way wouldn't have orginated in Ravenloft, ya gotta admit, the betrayers, that being the Masters of teh Shadow Hand and Tiger Claw schools, seem to be perfect targets for the Mists to open up and capture. doesn't quite help the rest(unless the other schools got their start from transposed groups hunting the 2 Masters). but excelent points.

I think the Swordsage is a very Asian style class and I would be tempted to only include it in martial arts style horror adventures and ghost stories in the Asian domains of Ravenloft.

I also believe that Asian style Monk classes could benefit from limited access to one single discipline in the ToB.

Granted, this would make Asian Monks somewhat stronger than non-Asian ones... but given the cultural heritage of the entire Monk class this is not an impossible or unreasonable situation in my gaming structure.

I got a player in my Ravenloft campaing that is a Sri Rajian Monk/Swordsage; it makes no problem for me.
