#1SonjaAug 14, 2007 16:44:11 | Has anyone ever thought of drawing their own version of a map of Athas? The problem with the ones in the sourcebooks is we cannot publish them online. It would be neat if we drew our own version of the map, a free version. |
#2zombiegleemaxAug 15, 2007 23:44:12 | I've thought about it. Not with Campaign Cartographer though. I hate that program. However, I would much rather create my own maps. http://www.geocities.com/raloftyr/EoAIntro.html |
#3dasch_dupAug 18, 2007 1:06:00 | In honor of my brother, I have been working on a map of the Tyr Region. It is not complete as of yet but, a pre-release is available at DSRising.net. |
#4SonjaAug 18, 2007 11:31:13 | COOOOOOOOOL I love it! Let me know when it's complete. Who is your brother? |
#5elonarcAug 18, 2007 18:16:51 | Thanks a lot Dasch. I still remember David fondly. |
#6squidfur-Aug 19, 2007 18:48:03 | Holy crap, Dasch!!! Very nice. I do notice a couple of locales missing (some of which may be found on your brothers map of "the Tablelands"), but I'm diggin' your style mayn'. (and you did say it's "not complete"). |

#8brun01Aug 20, 2007 7:21:00 | In honor of my brother, I have been working on a map of the Tyr Region. It is not complete as of yet but, a pre-release is available at DSRising.net. Wow, dash. Excellent work. Can't wait to see the finalised version. I hope you can continue working with DS Brazil as your brother did (having the maps available on Portuguese). |
#9GrummoreAug 20, 2007 8:31:41 | Thank you Dasch! |
#10dasch_dupAug 21, 2007 17:55:03 | I am glad that you all like the map. I did my best to make it similar in style to Diesel's maps. I do notice a couple of locales missing... I know I am missing a few... Mira's Halo stands out in my mind. I was thinking that I might end up removing some of the sites anyways to make the map less cluttered and then producing a "Tablelands" map to put all of the sites on. Anyone who notices any missing locales or typos, please let me know. Who is your brother? My brother was Cyrus9a. He is the one who made all of the maps for DarkSunRising.info and he made a few for Athas.org as well. I hope you can continue working with DS Brazil as your brother did (having the maps available on Portuguese). I don't mind producing a Portuguese version if you don't mind helping with the translation. That goes for anyone else who wants other languages as well. |
#11MulhullAug 22, 2007 3:51:59 | here is a motherboard, perhaps the longest thread we ever had in this forum, on maps someone named Brian did a long time ago. It's quite a bit of information, complete with pictures galore and new regions. I found it again by inputting Dunswich (Andropinis's city of Origin in the search engine, and have bookmarked it now) http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=498298&highlight=dunswich I want to see if we can get a mod to sticky this post, so we won't have to dig for it. |
#12cnahumckAug 22, 2007 12:57:54 | it is stickied, in the Forum Archive. |
