Start the "4th Edition" Rebirth of Dungeons and Dragons begin there too.

There is a whole market of kids that can now read because of Harry Potter... give them a chance to explore the greatest world ever.

Greyhawk will still be around, but generic 4D&D games will not be shoehorned into it. Oerthisims will still be in the book, like deity names and unique spell names, but I systematically changed those in my game ages ago, and I think many others have to fit their worlds as well.

It looks like Greyhawk fans will have their campaign setting books.

Sep 08, 2007 7:14:09 To a degree it is now. Before Greyhawk died mid 2nd edition it wasn't so much Generika, but with the advent of D&D 3rd it was made into a meta-setting. Meta-settings have to be a bit Generika.

On a side not there already is a Greyhawk subforum. This thread should probably be moved there.

In the last 72 hours, he's posted similar threads on all the 4th ed Campaign Settings boards, and has posted the same stuff on every one, even Greyhawk. I'm amazed at the rapidness of his ability to torque off everyone, even the Greyhawkians such as myself.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a grade-A example of your standard 9-12 ft. tall, green-skinned, clawed, regenerating eating-machine. And I'm not talking about the Hulk.

Ignoring what may be the real trolling point here, Dave Arneson's Blackmoor campaign is generally believed to have been the first campaign setting.
