I would like to put forth that a product that I would love to see for 4e or 3.5 even would be a complete rendering of Maure Castle and its environs. While the material that has been published so far has been great it would be nice to see this project complete. Hell, I might even consider subscribing to the Digital Initiative if it was decided that this would be the only way to have it published piece by piece.

i'll second that. a completed maure castle alone would make it worth it.

Put down one more vote for a (preferably 3.5, but 4 if that's what's available by the time it goes to press/pixel) release of what's left of Maure Castle. "Y" should we have to go without? ;)

My DM, who introed me to Greyhawk would buy this in an instant if it were printed. If Maure Castle was a major first adventure printed for 4E, he'd likely convert over to 4E (currently he is bullishly resisting this as even possible).

Me, I would vote yes, just cause I've heard SO much about it.

Of course it wouldnt really be Maure Castle unless of course Rob Kuntz the brain behind the adventure was writing it with the aid of James Jacobs and perhaps some others that have made it so great in the first place.

I think everyone is referring to a compilation of all things Maure, which means Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure/Maure Castle issue of Dungeon, plus any other lost levels(one of which will be in the next issue of The Oerth Journal by the way) or other material. All of that is mostly written by RJK anyways, with a little help from various folks to convert it to 3.5.

They would be smart to do so, as the Maure issues of Dungeon were some of the best selling under Paizo's reign. I believe the Maure issues have been sold out for some time now.

Maure Castle is a classic adventure location of the Greyhawk community and as such would be an invaluable and well received publication. I highly encourage WOTC to consider this particular work as an excellent means of enhancing the World of Greyhawk.

While I don't really object to Maure Castle being compiled and expanded, I'd much rather see such work done by the original author, in a 1st edition clone style system (as said original author prefers anyway). It may just be personal preference for the OOP editions of D&D, but I think the unique flavor of the classic adventures and locales loses something in the translation to 3e or 4e. I honestly ignored the new Maure Castle material until a fellow old schooler (Scott 'Scottenkainen' Casper, for the record) retroconverted it to 1st edition mechanics, and more recently, when Rob Kuntz began releasing fan published material for it using 1st edition and/or 1st edition clone mechanics.

As far as an iconic 4e GH megadungeon, I support moving beyond MC and Castle Greyhawk, both out of respect for the originals and to present GH as a fresh and growing setting. Further development of Spinecastle's dungeons would work, or development of "new" dungeons from locales given passing mention in previous work. CGH and MC can't be done anymore in a way that is true to game mechanical flavor or the vision of the original authors. Tomb of Horrors and Temple of Elemental Evil have been done to death. Let's get the developmental ball rolling on a new megadungeon, but new in development while traditional GH in roots. Whole cloth invention of a new megadungeon where nothing was even remotely hinted at before accomplishes nothing in the way of preserving the continuity of the setting.

I too would love to see some more work done on Maure Castle. The material presented over the past few years in Dungeon was absolutely excellent. I personally loved the old school feel Mr. Kuntz brought to the project.

I feel that Maure Castle would be a very interesting project for 4th Edition to tackle.
