#1thegreatfandangoOct 16, 2007 18:19:32 | I came up with a wicked idea for an undead. So I am stating out an undead that corrupts water and makes it foul/poisonous. Defiling Polluter (Yes this name sucks) Hit Dice: 3d12 (21) Initiative: +1 Speed:40ft AC:15 (+1 Dex, +4 Natural) Attacks: Slam melee (1d4+3) Damage: Slam melee (1d4+3) Face/Reach: 5 ft. by 5 ft./5 ft. Special Attacks: Thirst Special Qualities: Undead Traits, Defile Water, Fire Saves: Fort +0, Ref +3, Will +7 Abilities: Str 17, Dex 13, Con --, Int 15, Wis 11, Cha 13 Skills: Survival +7, Swim +4 Feats: Iron Will Climate/Terrain: Any, often oasises Organization: Solitary Challenge Rating: 3 Treasure: None Alignment:Always Chaotic Evil Advancement: 4HD Defile Water: As a supernatural ability the Defiling Pollutor can corrupt water making it undrinkable and poisonous. As a standard action a Defiling pollutor can defile a waterskin. As a full round action he can defile all waterskins within 60ft. Taking three full rounds a defiling pollutor can taint a small well. and so on... Water tainted by the defiling pollutor has a bitter acidic flavor and if ingested causes 1d4 Con damage and filth fever. Thrist: If a defiling pollutor hits with its slam attack then it can envoke its thirst attack. The PC must make a fortitude save (DC15, +1 for each day the pc has not had water) or be dehydrated (see dehydrations rules, we have those right?!?). If the pc fails their save they must make a will save (DC17) or become so overwhelmed with their need for water that they forsake all actions and find the nearest water source. They then will drink for 1d6 rounds and can preform no other actions. Remember this is my first try here so go easy. |

#3thegreatfandangoOct 17, 2007 14:58:37 | Like the name. So i'll change it. Fire=Fire Resistance 10. I think the abilities need to be hashed out a bit to make them more conforming to the rules. |

#5JaysynOct 17, 2007 18:41:49 | Now give it an ecology or background. The how's, where's & why's of it's creation & stuff. |
#6phoenix_mOct 17, 2007 19:07:36 | Why does an undead have 'Survival'? Kind of redundant with undead traits, fire resistance, and the lack of Tracking feat. |
#7thegreatfandangoOct 17, 2007 21:30:24 | Changes: Add Track Feat/ Advance by 1 HD /Increase CR +1 Foulgaunt Before you stands the wizend husk of a once muscular humanoid. It skin is dry and leathery and so this it exposes preserved muscle and sinew beneath. It glares at you with its hollow black eyes. its face controts into a snarl and exposes large lower canines. Foulguants are what remains of the once fierce and proud orc people. Slaughtered enmass and their corpses left exposed to the element. They rose up from the defiled land into a world of sand able to destroy the worlds most precious comodity, Water. They now stalk the land exacting thier revenge against the whole world. Combat Foulgaunts are few in number so they are solitary creatures. They fight when approached and never run away. They attack viciously with their slam attack and causing thirst. A common tactic is to defile his enemies water sources and then cause them to thirst for water and drink the defiled liquid. |
