#1goricexiiDec 06, 2007 14:15:55 | I'm planning to use the old 2nd Ed module "Black Spine" and there is mention of a military force from Nibbenay, but I can't find much in the way of information on the actual unit in there. I am wondering if anyone could help me figure out what the troops might consist of and so on--apparently commanded by a midlevel templar. |

It is best known for its disciplined core of over 1,000 half-giants. The military enterprises of the Shadow King are replete with undead units and slaves. The King takes an interest in devising new war machines to further the devastating efficiency of his forces. Battle platforms constructed from undead watroach and rezhatta beetles are often seen lumbering across the salt flats." --The City-State of Nibenay, Ivory Triangle Box Materials, pg. 28 It also goes on to mention that Nibenay may draw from any unit found in the listing "Sorcerer-King's Horde" from Dragon Kings hardbound book. It also says that the calvary for Nibenay is Kank-based, and that there is another special unit besides the half-giants found in the telepathic scouts for recon, forward sentry, and communications in battle field situations. I would assume defilers and elementalists would not be turned away as well. |

The Templar would be around 6th/7th level, maybe around fifty troops guarding a supply caravan. I suppose I could have just used templates for caravan guards but I was hoping to find something that might look more particular to Nibenay. |

I think for something that basic it's mostly in the style. What they are wearing and wielding. Agafari is a particularly Nibenese material to construct weapons out of and they wear checkered headcoverings. |
