#1johnbilesDec 09, 2007 2:24:18 | I had to share this. One of my current 3E campaigns is set in Karameikos. The PCs now rule a Barony in the NE mountains of Karameikos, having killed off Strahd and taken over his lands (I used Expedition to Castle Ravenloft early on). Having fended off a massive orc invasion, the PCs went to the aid of Grand Duke Stefan, who was being besieged by the Black Eagle Baron and his humanoid allies. The BEB had 8 dragons at his command (1 Red, 2 Green, 2 White, and 3 Black) and Duke Stefan only had 3 (1 Gold, 2 Silver) aiding him, so the PCs had to travel to neighboring lands and recruit 5 more good dragons (1 Gold, 1 Brass, 3 Copper). Then we had a huge aerial battle over Specularum: 5 PCs (Sindhi Knight 14, Vestlander Fighter 14, Alfheimer Sorceror 14, Vestlander Cleric 14 and Karameikan Paladin 14) + Grand Duke Stefan, Patriarch Oliver Jowett, and Countess Elaine Penhaligon vs. the Black Eagle Baron, Bargle the Infamous, Ungor the Unholy (Blackguard), Olga the Ourobous (high level Naga Sorceress), a Fire Giant Chief, 2 Frost Giant Jarls and a Hill Giant King. With all sixteen of them on dragons. It was an awesome fight. The PC sorceror died, several giant chiefs fell hundreds of feet to the ground squashing their own men, then getting up and spending the rest of the fight cursing the PCs, and the Black Eagle Baron died. Then they marched on Fort Doom and levelled it. Very cool. |

#5johnbilesDec 09, 2007 15:58:02 | The Campaign so far has gone: Keep on the Borderlands + some connected tiny adventures -->Expedition to Castle Ravenloft-->Expedition to the Demonweb Pits-->The current war for Karameikos. The next adventure is going to have them involved in international politics as Thyatis tries to get Karameikos to help in the next Thyatis/Alphatian war, then they'll be getting into questing for immortality (And we'll be seeing if the Epic rules are as broken as rumor tells me.) |
