#1lurking_shadowFeb 21, 2008 13:05:12 | The Gulg book in the Ivory Triangle boxed set states that gladiator matches are held in the Parade Grounds, which is clearly shown to be within the city in the map. The Complete Gladiator Handbook, on the other hand, states that the Forest Arena of Gulg lies within the forest, about an hour walk from the city. The map of the arena is also quite different from what is presented in Ivory Triangle. Seems to be another of those inconsistencies that make DS so great. How would you resolve this? (By the by, sorry if this has come up before. I tried searching the boards, particularly Peace Bringer's threads, but came up with nothing.) Lurking |

As for the location of gladiator matches, why not both. Locals only within the city proper, foreigners out in the forest. By going that direction there is no inconsistencies only half truths, such is the way of Athas. |
