#1trhickmanMar 04, 2008 11:25:59 | I just received word that E. Gary Gygax, father of the Dungeons & Dragons game, has just passed away. I knew Gary through my work at TSR, of course, but only really got to know him on a more personal level after we had both left the company. He was a gamer’s gamer, an icon of a time of wonder and imagination, and I found him to be a warm genuine and kind man. Gary came to our last Killer Breakfast at Gencon and I am privileged to have that as my last memory of him: sitting at my gaming table, surrounded by fans and having a great time. God bless you on your next adventure, Gary. Tracy Hickman |

There's nothing I can add except that like many others, I am saddened by the passing of someone who I feel affected my childhood in such a positive manner. God bless, and may he rest in peace. |
