Albeit in Dark Sun, I believe some people do worship beings, but they usually don't exist to grant divine power. I actually have a campaign where divine magic's power source is left very vague, and up to the player's imagination. An atheistic cleric is very plausible in my setting. |

There is worship of the elements/paraelements, Spirits of Nature, and arguably (to a lesser extent) the Sorcerer-Kings. Clerics following a particular element or paraelement might attribute some unique name and other qualities to it, effectively making it not obvious it is one of the elements to the casual observer. |
#4lhurgyofMar 17, 2008 19:25:51 | My DM made Dregoth a god (just for the sake of making everything harder for the PC's) and change the story line up a bit. The only real worshipers are Dray though, so it doesn't really change anything until you either get really powerfull, or do something to get his attention. Me, I've done both ;) |
