(Ravenloft) An invitation

I know many of you are already members of the Fraternity of Shadows, but for those who don't, you are invited to join our friendly Ravenloft fan boards (see my signature). It's fun, lively and host 100% RL discussions. Some great RL authors are also blessing us by their presence.

For those who started threads here, you are invited to repost them at the FoS - we often collect interesting material to host them on our site for posterity.

May 22, 2008 21:53:09 Amen to this. FoS is the online equivalent of the friendly speakeasy tavern you've been looking for. Plus the people there are not only very creative, they're also polite to newcomers... an online rarity in this day and age.

They already know what needs to be done to fix the boards so they are usable by the community. Until they fix the boards, we are better off using something that does what we need it to do.

I don't know nautical terms. I do know the Other Worlds is a hopeless mess and the FoS is my best bet. And Piazza. I'll check them out, if only to see what else is out there.

Scuttle is a term that basically means self-destruct, but without so many explosives. If a captain gives an order to scuttle the ship, he wants the crew to make the ship turn ninety degrees straight downwards.

May 29, 2008 13:57:48 That was a rhetorical statement. As for this board...is there a term for when the crew inadvertantly sinks the ship because of serious mistakes? Or is that covered by "snafu" and "FUBAR?"
