#1Sanctum1972Jun 12, 2008 17:51:11 | Hello, I own Iron Kingdoms setting for D&D 3.5 but I'm wondering if Privateer Press will consider a transition to 4th edition. Does anyone know? Thanks, -Adam |

I haven't been there in a while, but I'm certain the topic has already been brought up and addressed. I do know that they were able to extend there license (or however that works) to publish 3.5 material and will continue to do so into the near future (as mentioned in a recent No Quarter magazine, their own publication covering their RPG and miniatures war game). Hope this helps! Tree |

Aren't they more or less giving up supporting the RPG in favor of the minis lines? IK is my favorite setting, and while I like 4E I don't think it would work well in IK. All the powers, etc. don't sit well with me in that setting. |

I thought the Iron Kingdoms book was beautifully produced and offers a lot of great campaign material. Unless, Privateer produces a 'conversion' booklet to allow the transition to 4th edition, that may make a lot of sense if they offer it without the need of a major re-write. I would hate to see it come to an end (I'm only missing the Witchfire hardcover - I have the original three paperbacks - and the Monsternomicon II), but the info in No Quarter Magazine suggests that the line may end when their access to a 3.x license expires. Again, there's more info out there than I have read, so I hope there's a light at the end of the tunnel regarding some form of continuation with an IK RPG. |
