So if you casted Mage Armor spell in abudant terrain, then you'll get +2 bonus when defensing against enemy dispel. Or course, it should be used in offense too. So if you are casting dispel in abudant territory you get +2bonus too. |

#3jon_oracle_of_athasJun 23, 2003 4:40:59 | Just one thing, you'd have to keep track of in *which* terrain you cast spells with long durations, such as Cat's Grace in case you enter another terrain. Ugh! Rather not. EDIT: Example: Rooth casts Cat's Grace in a terrain that grants him a +2 bonus to caster level checks. When he leaves said terrain, he has a bonus against others who would dispel his spells. This could also lead to min-maxing with characters teleporting etc to locations with good terrain modifiers, and then going wherever they want with bonuses after casting their spells, especially with multiple metamagically extended spells. |

You won;t have too much spells active, and numer of spells with long duration is reduced with 3.5e. As for min/maxing part, I don't think it would be too much abusive. There is not a lot of +2 terrains. And in some way, it does capture DS flavor to cast some spells with long duration in lush terrain (although somehow flavorwise, it suits more for defilers). In general, caster level checks? Yes |
