Gladetorial Arenas in the Flanaess

Jun 28, 2003 6:59:21 I'm starting a Greyhawk campaign soon and felt like throwing the poor bastards into the arena for a few sessions since the campaign was kind of thrust upon me and I need time to flesh out the plot and what not. I need some advice from a few of you Greyhawk vets as to a good city to place the arena. I know there's one in the City of Greyhawk, but I've run every Greyhawk campaign in the City and felt like something new. The city has to be large sized and it would help if the alignment of the area was leaning toward evil. Thanks in advance.

Jun 28, 2003 18:54:10 I don't have a map in front of me but I would guess that some city in the Bandit Kingdoms, or in the Prmarji would work.
Or if you wanted to do it as some sort of "underground fight club" sort of thing, maybe some place in the Urnsts or Nyrond would work.

Or here is another idea, set the whole game in the lands controlled by the Scarlet Brotherhood, Maybe the players are slaves brought in from other parts of the Flannaess. Anyway just some random thought, hope they helped.

Jun 29, 2003 0:44:05 Well, I panicked and did it in the city of Greyhawk, but I like your brotherhood idea and I'm going to throw those guys into the mix somehow. Give me an excuse to dust off that Scarlet Brotherhood suppliment that I never got to use

Jun 30, 2003 14:36:45 Well really glad you liked the idea about the Brotherhood, was the slave trade aspect of it could be worked in really easy. Anyway keep posting to let us know how it goes, (or drop me an email if you want).
