#1zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2003 16:10:09 | A long time ago I read that there are some people working on a Dragonlance module for NWN. Last thing I heard was that it was supposed to be ready till Febuary. I never heard of it again. Does anybody know how long it will take those people at dladventures.com to get it done? |
#2zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2003 16:52:31 | The Neverwinter Vault just finished up this really cool "10 days of Dragonlance Adventures" feature with lots of screenshots, interviews, etc. I'm pretty sure in one of the interviews (or maybe the trailer) they said the release date is 'Fall 2003' |
#3zombiegleemaxAug 11, 2003 20:06:47 | Yes, I happen to know how long it will take :-) It's taking a good long time. 9 tilesets and 30 creatures will do that. That's more - by a LOT - then comes with either of Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark. Be patient. We are working hard. _______________________ .Robert *Dragonlance Adventures* www.dladventures.com DL-1 "Dragons of Despair": *Under Construction* irc.neverwinterconnections.com#DLAdventures |
#4DragonhelmAug 11, 2003 20:50:29 | Are you guys any relation to the NWDL guys? Whatever happened to them? |
#5zombiegleemaxAug 11, 2003 21:51:38 | No relation at all, but I knew of Mitch and his group. NWDL was one of those grandiose Permanent World groups that imploded 4 months or so after NWN's release. It was in good company - the vast majority of PW's ended up the same way and for mostly the same reason: maintaining focus when creating a PW is extremely difficult. Traditional P n' P design skills are essential to have, but are not enough to meet the demands of creating a computer game mod. DLA is not a PW group. We are building a faithful DragonLance mod based on the original mod series to play in single player mode or in multiplayer. It's a no compromise total conversion. No DM is required (and in fact, a careless DM wil probably break the mod). DLA's members are programmers, musicians, sound engineers, and very large number of 3d artists who were recruited from 3d modeling schools, from within mainstream PC and console game companies and from within the NWN mod community. ------------------------------------ .Robert *Dragonlance Adventures* www.dladventures.com DL-1 "Dragons of Despair": *Under Construction* irc.neverwinterconnections.com#DLAdventures |
#6gforce99Aug 15, 2003 11:10:33 | I would like to mention that there are two PW servers for Dragonlance using Neverwinter Nights. The first one is Krynn Haven http://www.krynnhaven.com and the other is Fraghaus Dragonlance world http://www.fraghaus.com personally I like KrynnHaven better, its more DL-ish. But both are alive, busy, very accurate, dedicated staff and players. If anyone has any questions, just let me know. |
#7zombiegleemaxAug 15, 2003 11:28:40 | While DLA staff are not much for PW's, for those of us that have checked them out, the preference was for Krynnhaven. Agreed though - they are both run by dedicated people and have devoted followings. I expect much of our DL content will make it onto both PW servers within 48 hours of release or less :-) |
