For now there is one in the Kencyclopedia Kender Handbook. (Check my sig for the link)

If Sov. Press does a race-specific book, it will most likely be 2005. I've not heard about one for next year.

Jul 11, 2003 5:40:19 I hope the Handler comes out as a PrC and not a base class. The DLCS adds 2 new base classes, and the Mariner will be added in Age of Mortals (I think I read that here). There isn't a need for too many base classes.

I admit, you don't need a Handler class since Rogue will surfice. Still, something to think about.

I just checked out the Kencyclopedia site (and bookmarked it). I also looked at the Handler Class there. I like it and may use it as a PrC if one does not come out in future books (and also to tide players over until one does come out). While rogue indeed suffices, it also applies to thieves, a name which offends most kender; but Handler would be one I don't think would offend them, and the class adds a bit more kender specific attributes.

Jul 11, 2003 8:23:57 There is a sidebar about Handlers in the DLCS. Basically, the sidebar explains that while kender rogues share all of the abilities and skills as their counterparts from other races, kender have much different habits and motivations, which earned them the nickname "Handler."

In the DLCS, we avoided racial-specific prestige classes, such as Handlers or Master Tinkerers, because of their relatively narrow scope. It didn't seem appropriate for the DLCS when we had so much material to cover. But, you can definitely expect to see 'em in the future
