#2sweetmeatsJul 22, 2003 18:13:03 | I did run a short lived Taladan campaign back when the Time of the Dragon box set was released. The people I've played with have found Ansalon more to their tastes. Perhaps there have been no novels set there. I have always perfered Ansalon. Taladas comes across far too primitive to me. Maybe one day, when we have a new Taladas book from SS. |

For example, the minotaurs already rule, and gnomes make things that work. You may wish to check out James O'Rance's Taladas page: Taladas: Lost Lands of Krynn This board's own Talinthas is a big supporter of Taladas as well. Perhaps he'll have something to offer. Tal? |
#4talinthasJul 22, 2003 22:26:42 | Taladas is my home away from home =) I ran a campaign once that left ansalon and got to kristophan, with the intent of going to thenol, but the campaign ended too soon. Once my current campaign wraps up, i plan to head to the great north east again =) |
#5dragontoothJul 22, 2003 22:37:59 | Originally posted by Dragonhelm Dragonhelm the minotaurs do, and not rule. Yes they have Conquered probably 1/10 of the continent of Taladas. But what they have conquered is the most populas areas of Taladas. So as far as area no they don't rule, but in population of the continent they do. Taladas is probably about the size of Asia if not bigger. Yea the gnomes make things that work which I find cool, specially some of the things they have created. |

Very few DL players in my area know about Taladas besides my gaming group (that´s why i want to read of other players). So far i've ran 3 Taladian campaigns and now i think of Thenol as a land of my own, and Prince Raimos is my favorite NPC, always ploting how to end the theocracy in his homeland no matter the cost, even betraying other other ally noble families and his own... also the PCs! On the other hand, players found in Austan Gavinus a reliable and powerful ally, sort of a big brother to get advise from, specially a young and honorable rogue thinks of him this way. (I know Austan is from the League, but in my campaign he is an errant) I haven't explored all of Taladas, but most of the DL flavor is in Thenol I think, is so decadent that reminds me of an old Ergot before the Solamnic rebelion. Also is perfect for generic PrC's like the Knight, the Cavalier, monastic orders and outlaw rangers and rogues. |
