#1archmageJul 29, 2003 10:37:40 | Surprisingly, this question has nothing to with the DLCS. ;) Actually, I was wondering if anyone has done (or knows of a website that has) a conversion of the 5th Age Saga Rules to 2e AD&D? Anyone? Anywhere? |
#2talinthasJul 29, 2003 12:16:27 | well, there were a few products that had the conversion from saga to D&D and vice versa, like the bestiary, the rise of the titans, and i think even the core box set. |
#3zombiegleemaxJul 29, 2003 22:01:07 | The 5A boxed set comes with a conversion sheet for turning AD&D 2E characters/monsters/whatever to SAGA. Just reverse the mechanics to get SAGA-to-2E. Also, Steve Kenson wrote a SAGA-to-3E on the wizard's website. I can't find it now but I think I saved it to my hardware when he put it up. Do you think it will be helpful to you? |
#4freeclintOct 17, 2006 17:10:14 | If you are still around, I'd be interested in the DL5A to 3E notes. (I can't find them on Steve Kenson's site, oddly, as he has most of his stuff up there.) That system would work better for a play-by-post (or email) game than d20 in my mind. And Red Hand of Doom is just aching to get played from my bookshelf. You can email at freeclint (@) yahoo (.) com. (of course with all the editing removed) Thanks! -Clint |
#5DragonhelmOct 17, 2006 17:15:04 | You might check out the Dragonlance: Fifth Age to 3rd Edition D&D Conversion Guidelines by Stephen Kenson (yes, that Steve Kenson!) on the Nexus. These are guidelines from SAGA to 3.0, so you'd have to update to 3.5 along the way. Still, a great start. Also, the Fifth Age boxed set has AD&D to SAGA conversion notes in it, so you could reverse-convert then go from AD&D to 3.5. WotC's site has guidebooks on converting from 3.0 to 3.5 and a download for AD&D to 3.0 as well. Hope that helps. |
