Aether and Flux

I was hoping to see this at GenCon, but I didn't have much time to look.

Here's hoping it's a good product with the SJ feel.

It looks like it's at least going to be better than that crappy Polyhedron mini-game that they published under the name Spelljammer. I'd like to here something concrete from someone who owns the book first before I buy it myself.

I ordered it, and should have it any day now. Some people on the Spelljammer-L mailing list asked me to do a review when I get it, so I'll post that here as well.

Aug 13, 2003 11:02:16 Just got my copy last night. I haven't had much time to look it over yet, so I won't have a full review until the weekend or so. Busy week ahead.

My initial impression is that the book is so-so. There aren't any setting-specific classes or prestige classes. There are a few feats, although they are a bit...bland.

There are some ships in there, which do appear somewhat like Spelljammer ships.

Like I said, I have only had a cursory glance, but my first impression is that this would be a good companion piece, but nothing to base a setting on.
