I just wanted to invite all you fellow Greyhawk fans to look into playing at our shared Greyhawk World website at CORE Collective 3ed D&D Play by Post Site. Our board is an established fleshed out Greyhawk world which has been around for over three years. It has 26 active Greyhawk Kingdoms with adventures running.

After playing a lot of PBEM games, getting frustrated at player turnover and GM disappearances, I found CORE Greyhawk and have found a home to host my adventures and to get and play with other GMs and players in a free creative environment.

Please check out our site:

http://pub143.ezboard.com/bflanaess

Our board is completely free, and has over 20 GMs and 300 active characters gaming together in the shared worlds of Greyhawk It is a fun and active board, filled with an endless variety of Kingdoms, GMs and players.

I run the adventures in the kingdom of Keoland in Greyhawk as GM Ariel Skye. If you go to the site and it looks interesting to you, just click on the Player Zone button on the top right hand corner to make a character to play. By keeping all characters in the Player Zone, characters can move from one moderator to another when adventures end and not lose levels or treasure.

All players start at first level. All GMs start as Assistant GMs moderating their own adventures for three months, before being eligible for full GM status if they want to run a Kingdom.

I would love to answer any questions you might have.

Looks interesting. When I have some time, I'll try to delve into it a bit more.

Tell us about some of the current games you are running.

There are about 80 currently ongoing active adventures at our site. They run the gamut from large regional adventures like Against the Giants which is being coordinated among four moderators, to small solo excursions.

I am running two and finishing up two. My largest adventure in scope is one of the cornerstones of the Against the Giants campaign. A band of heroes are heading into the Jotens to a mountain called Exile's Peak to attempt to stop a bad guy named the Shiven from creating earth touched humanoids to add to the Giant army plaguing Sterich. A Priest of Pelor, a paladin of Heironeous, a Royal Mage from Niole Dra working for Archmage Lashton, and a Ranger of Tritheon are just some of the heroes.

One other Adventure set in Keoland/Niole Dra and is a low level jaunt to find the origins of a mummy who attacked a halfling in the slums of the City. Where did the mummy come from and why is he hunting the halfling? The Temple of Pelor is involved but otherwise pretty standard but fun adventure.

The third is a modified Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. Modified mostly to be shorter due to the fact that Play by Post can be slow going sometimes so it helps to par down non-essential encounters.

Lastly, in Caravan to the Stark Mounds, six adventures are up against the ogres of Gorna trying to rescue a Sterich noblewoman commander who has been kidnapped.

The other regions are very active as well. The City of Greyhawk usually has 10 adventures inside it at any one time. Right now the thieves guild called the Black Coda is having a turf war within the thieves guild and some players are mixed up in it.

Iuz and the Scarlet Brotherhood are always causing some trouble.

Here is a sample of a currently open adventure:

"Ever since the city of Crockport was reclaimed after the war, King Belvor of Furyondy has been attempting to make it a symbol of his perseverance against the lands of Iuz. Adventurers have been drawn to the city by the promise of Tax free adventuring, as well as a chance to rid the area or the last bits of Iuz's presence." The old man at the table looks around at the five of you. "Of course, you folks probably know that."

You are at the Orc's Head tavern, named for the taxedermized Orc head hanging over the Fireplace, most likely from one of the battles at the end of the Greyhawk Wars, around 588 CY, two years ago. After your coming to the town of Crockport in search of adventure, or perhaps just traveling, this man approached you, offering an ale in exchange for some conversation.

Ordering another ale for himself, and of course anyone at the table who wants one, he makes his true intent known:
"My real purpose for telling you this is that my son was one of those drawn here. Edward, my son, apparently got together a small group and headed out searching for a bandit hideout rumored to be somewhere north of here. I don't know where exactly, it's all rumors to me. But apparently things went bad as he hasn't returned home to Chendl. I don't know who these bandits are, or what they are doing with my son, but I would appreciate your assistance in finding him."

He takes a sip of ale.

"Of course, I can reward you. My house is fairly wealthy, and if my son is returned, you will be rewarded. Both with wealth and some renown in Chendl. Please, help."

What a timely response, I spent about three hours this weekend reading various things at the Cannonfire site, I bet I read some of your articles. I just wish the print wasn't so tiny. My head hurt by the end. It is an impressive site and I got lots of good ideas. I only wish I had enough time to use all the good ideas now running around in my head in my campaigns.

Thanks.
