I was just wondering if those novels are still published. I read some of them and they were great... Would be a shame if those books are lost forever

Try using Google to find where some are available. Try to type in ("Ravenloft Novels") I've done this before and found stores that have them. Titles like : Knight of the Black Rose, Tales of Ravenloft, Vampire of the Mists, etc. . . . I hope this helps.

Most stores in Denmark still have (or are able to get):

Knight of the black rose
Spectre of the black rose
I Strahd
and I strahd, the war against azalin.

The rest are lost in time and space and used bookstore or extreme luck are the only ways to find them.

I don't know if we have any stores that ship overseas, but try the store named fantask (www.fantask.dk, or .com)
Email them at fantask@fantask.dk

No it doesn't, personally I only own the four that I already mentioned, and I haven't any of the other in any danish store,

although a lot of the old 2ed. products are still in stock at fantask, and that is one of only two places where I have seen them. Most other stores has become only 3ed. stores. (strange sentence).

I've recently spotted some at Barnes & Noble, and that is at a new store that just opened! I can't recall, but I believe they were reprints. One of them was the 2nd novel..the one featuring Soth...Knight of the Black Rose? Don't recall the other one at all. You might want to try their web site.

I just completed a collection by buying them peicemail through e bay. got quite a few doubles thta way, but that was the only way to complete the set. i'll warn you right now some of the books, shdowborn, lord of the necropolis, tower of doom, scholar of decay, and especially king of the dead, must be extremely rare. one on line book dealer wanted close to a hundred dollars american for that one.

For starters, yes, the Ravenloft novels are out of print. But that doesn't mean you won't find a few laying around at your local Barnes & Nobles. Mostly old copies of I Strahd (a few War Against Azalins) and of course, Spectre of the Black Rose (the book where Lord Soth "escapes" from Ravenloft).

You'll probably have the best luck on ebay, although some of the books ARE high-priced. But on a related note, I FINALLY got my hands on the King Of The Dead! That was the LAST RL book I needed to complete the set, and it cost me $40! But it was WELL worth it (for the Ravenloft completist, such as myself).

And contrary to popular opinion, I find that ALL the Ravenloft novels are good in some respect! Interesting gaming tidbits can be gleamed from all of them! I would never label an RL novel as "trash". They've all got redeeming qualities.

On that note, I'd like to offer my favorite RL novels (in no particular order)

I, Strahd
Vampire Of The Mists
Heart of Midnight
Mordenheim
Carnival of Fear
Sleep With Evil
Scholar of Decay
King Of The Dead
and finally,
Spectre of the Black Rose.

They're ALL good but those are my personal picks.

Just in case anyone's interested, I happen to have a publisher's advance copy, and a hardback copy of I, Strahd available.

Most of the Ravenloft novels are tough to find. I, Strahd is still in print as far as i am aware as i have seen it at my local bookstore.

I picked up a second copy of my favourite d&d book, Vampire of the mists for $2 at a closing down sale which i was chuffed at as my first copy is quite tatty after many reads!

They're nearly impossible to find, thankfully I have all of them in mint condition.

They are the greatest books. I, Stradh (the War against Azalin) and Vampire of the Mist are my favourite.

Here's a nice place to find some, if you have any around. Used book stores. They are great. Assuming they have a fantasy book section, you should be able to track down some.

Just got untouches copies of

- heart of midnight
- Carnival of horror
- Tales of ravenloft

I has taken me about four months to get these. They were just sitting in a warehouse.
I have contact with a guy in a rpg store, who were able to get these after a thorough scearch of his importing partners.
I can be done, but it takes time.
Don't give up.
