Will the Bestiary of Krynn have the Bakali in it?

Also any idea of when it will be out?

Looks like it, since bakali are mentioned in the promotional sheet.

Any examples on what we can expect from this book? Any new monsters? Anything that has just plain never been done right before finally done right? This book is one of the big ones for me. I am really looking forward to it.....and then when I found that the authors were Cam and Andre I really got comfortable with it. These are guys with DL at heart......This is going to be one cool book.

On a side note....I also wanted to say that it's not like any of the other wonderful people at Sov. Press don't have DL at heart....it's just that I've been here reading Cam and Andre's posts for a couple years now.

*laughs!* Well thanks Serena... I think...

*hrms* I'll let Jamie give some examples from the book, but I can say that besides Cam and Andre giving some excellent renditions of creatures both old and new, Jamie, myself, and Margaret have all also added a few new monsters to the mix! We are going to have a Bestiary art preview in Games Unplugged magazine, and I think we're gonna be givin' a few more teasers here and there... but lemme tell you, from the artwork I've received, this is gonna be one AWESOME BOOK! :D

Just to name a few of the artists, 'cuz I like dropping names...James Holloway, Jennifer Meyer, Brad Williams, some incredible stuff from Jason Engle, Stanley Morrison...all in vivid, full color splendour! *BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!*

Personally, I think this is gonna be the most gorgeous lookin', and best put together, "monster" books out there!

you know, this whole games unplugged thing is disturbing. I dont like the thought that i have to subscribe to a magazine full of stuff i dont want just for dragonlance. And before you say i dont have to, understand that i'm a lot like weldon. If its dragonlance i have to have it. But for once, couldnt you just post web enhancements like other companies?

We will have those, as well. Odds are that what appears in Games Unplugged will soon after be made into a web enhancement. Look at it as the Dragon & Dungeon for Sovereign Press, Inc. ;) Plus, it has lots of other nifty things in it as well, which I tend to like 'cuz I play Shadowrun, I love Human Head's Redhurst Academy, and gotta love Deadlands ;)

Any Elmore or Lockwood in the bestiary? That would be gravy.

Alas, Larry was too busy working on the cover of the DM Screen and no Lockwood either

But, we got a nifty Easley cover and some pretty stellar artwork from our artists otherwise

I didn't mean to sound like that....Sov. Press has made my D&D dreams come true with the new DL. I have only run games in three campaign settings: Dragonlance, Ravenloft, and recently Ghostwalk. Only in DL is my heart really in the game. I haven't recieved my copies of the DLCS and AoM yet, but from what Ive seen IMHO, DL is in the best hands possible. And also, from what it looks like, each and every product on the schedule looks like it's top notch. Elegant look, topics we as DL fans actually want covered, new art, new stories.......There is no better time to be a Dragonlance fan. Keep it up Sov. Press!

Amen to that.

The upcoming release of the DLCS has so reignited my interest in Dragonlance that in the past two weeks I've reread "The Legend of Huma", bought and read "City of the Lost", "Divine Hammer", and "the Dragon Isles". Hopefully by this time next week I'll be reading through my DLCS and be busy making characters. *crosses fingers*

Oh well, Jason Engle is fricking amazing and an Easley cover is always a good thing (I saw the pic @ the ENWorld forums.... ). Is Engle's stuff better than his L5R Card Game pics?
