#1zombiegleemaxAug 18, 2003 20:10:14 | So, did technoelement and the others who volunteered to help ever do it? I tried to, but I never recieved a response to my last few emails, so I kind of gave up on it. I'm assuming it died. Anyone know anything about it? |

#3theocratissakAug 19, 2003 11:19:34 | Hi all- Unfortunetly, this is the problem with many of the Greyhawk Fan sites out there. My own, www.ThePale.org, shows that I haven't updated it since April 2002 or such. I'm actually in the process of re-making it. I also own www.GreyhawkOnline.com - but nothing has come from that end. I do more work on my own game that I don't have time to update my site anymore. It's a shame. It is however, the same argument that Delglath, ChatDemon, and other members of CanonFire! put forth. Working on CanonFire! is a fulltime job for a couple of the admin's. I know ChatDemon posts the latest submissions and he gets overwhelmed. I'm always on the lookout for new "downloads" that others may not be aware of. Gary is busy coding the site itself. Grodog is always up-to-date on what's going on in the various Greyhawk related forums and message boards. It is a lot of work to work on and maintain a serious Fansite. It is the fact that CanonFire! is celebrating its second year that we ask for ideas and concepts on things that we could do to improve. If it is not "newbie" friendly, then what can we do to make it more enjoyable. Do you have ideas on how to make the site easier to navigate? What about the forums? Are they useable? When you are searching the site, do you find what you are looking for? CanonFire! is looking for new editors. If you have the time and knowledge of Greyhawk (or at least a fan of the setting and willing to learn) or website management, let us know. If you want to work on an on-going and ever expanding website that is dedicated to the furtherment of Greyhawk, then come by and visit us. Let us know. |
