Okay, I'm thinking the other day about Ogre Titans, and Forest Giants, and Minotaurs and such. I had just previously been thinking about the Ghoul Queen, who is shaping up to be a very cool character.

Anyway, we have elves, ogre titans, and minotaurs fighting over the Silvanesti forest. I don't know if the Ogre Titans are allies or enemies of the Minotaurs as of yet, but I do know that they have reasons to enter the Silvanesti forest either way.

So anyway, the Ghoul Queen is a relic left over from the Age of Light, reincarnated into an elven woman in the present day in the form of a demonic posession (giving the elven woman a half-fiend template). As a favoured cleric of Chemosh, she has the power to control all sorts of ghosts and undead.

Now, we all know that Ogre Titans use the life-force of elves in order to power their transformations. It is a form of necromancy, taught to them by Takhisis. Their ability command undead and use them as magical reservoirs probably means they command undead much like Cult of the Forerunners or Mina. But what happens to the souls connected to that lifeforce?

Anyway, so I figure that if the Ghoul Queen has a new spell, she can basically wake up the elven spirits in the life force that the Ogre Titans are using. These spirits fight over control of the Ogre Titan's body. Very High Level Spell, which would have the end result of insanity on things such as flesh golems, ogre titans, and other such creatures.

Without new elven blood, these creatures degenerate, becoming withered and ancient giants, ugly to behold. However, Branchala is moved to pity, and harmonizes the myriad souls raging within the tempest of the former ogre titan. Thus, their personality is one, but speak as if they are many voices saying the same thing (almost in synch).

Thus, you have created a "Forest Giant" which acts as a sort of player aid, able to have abilities similar to legend lore and divinitation, as well as being able to know all the secrets of Silvanesti such as where the treasure is stashed. In the campaign world, they serve as advisors to whomever I'm installing as an elven power in the region, as well as serving as "tanks" in battle for the elven forces.

What do you think?

Very interesting. But I saw the other day in the AoM (in a cursorary glance) metion of..."the Fallen" i think they were called (I think this was in Rise of the Titans as well). How well does this idea mesh with that of the Fallen?

Basically they are the "fallen" Ogre Titans, with the minds and memories of a couple dozen elves.
