If I remember correctly this title was given to Chrysannia and Lord Soth's lover was on her way (when they met)to becoming one in Istar? Is the Revered Daughter title only given to followers of Paladine? Because this would make an excellent title for a Cleric Prestige Class...

Revered Daughter and Revered Son are the titles used by clerics of good. I've seen it used for clerics of Paladine, Mishakal and Kiri-Jolith.

Hmm...I've only seen the Revered Daughter or Son title used for the clerics of Paladine, and rather consistently at that, with First Daughter and First Son used in Istarian times for the two highest ranking clerics below the Kingpriest.

Clerics of Mishakal I've always seen called simply Brother or Sister so-n-so, as in Brother Michael who stayed on past the Night of Doom, with the only reference to a higher title, again Istarian, High Hand of Mishakal.

Kiri-Joliths clerics I've seen referred to generally as warrior-priests, but that's not really a title.

Wasn't there something in ToTL or possibly the Elven Nations trilogy about the "Chosen Prophets" of each deity??

I think that the title of Revered Son or Daughter is reserved only to high ranking clerics of Paladine.I think that it should also be a prestigue class.

There are Revered Children of Paladine in all ages that have clerics of Paladine, I think.

I was thinking they wouldn't have created that order right when they found the gods cause of the WotL and all. I thought the concept of Revered Daughter of Paladine was made by the Kingpriest. That was just my understanding of it all.

I thought that the revered daughters were always a pat of the hierarchy of the Church of Paladine. How does one get the role if they cannot cast spells like in Isat before the Cataclysm.

Prior to the Cataclysm, there was next to no clerics that could cast magic. Even one casting 0th and 1st level spells were seen to perform the great miracles of the time (at least locally). But their standing in the church was (for a lack of a better way to put it) not based on the number of levels they've acquired onto their character sheet. I think it is pretty much determined the same way many churches on Earth do it, a higher up promotes them.

The Revered Daughters of Paladine (and the Sons) I would guess are a high tier to the Paladinian(?) church. The requirements and details of them I am not aware of. I would guess their membership requirements are probably spelled out in the Disks of Mishakal in the Paladine section. With the church of Paladine being reborn after the WotL, Crysania was probably the first person to meet the requirements, because until I read the Kingpriest Trilogy, I thought only one person could hold the Revered Daughter title at a time. Obviously, I was mistaken because most of my readings had settings when Crysania 'was' the only one... at least the only one that was important enough to be brought to the foreground. I would also guess Elistan never fulfilled the requirements even though he was the first head, because I've never heard of him refered to as a Revered Son.

Yeah, there was a lot of guessing in this post, but I figured I had to be right on some detail SOMEWHERE in there.

But, as for a prestige class, I would think it would be a cool addition to the game. As for those who were Revered Daughters/Sons during the end of the Age of Might, I would state that just because one is 'in-game' a Revered Daughter/Son, it does not mean they actually have the levels in the prestige class. After all, most of the Revered in the Kingpriest Trilogy can't cast a lick.

It could be like the noble class with leadership bonuses and alchlemy bonuses or something like that.
