no orcs, and kendermore was a mistake.

though i seem to be the only person who really enjoyed that book =)

(for what its worth, i just call him a half ogre, and move on.)

Tal, I enjoyed the book too.

Actually, even my wife enjoyed the book, and she's not really into fantasy like I am. I think Kendermore is the only DL book she's read.

I'm not sure, but the recent reprint of that infamous book may have fixed the reference. Anyone got a copy with the new cover?

Cheers,
Cam

Yes, it was fixed.

The half-orc has since moved into the DLCS. :D (sorry, couldn't resist)

Personally, I think this half-orc should be embraced as a kender tale. It isn't real by any means, but by golly, it sure is a crowd pleaser. :D

A true completist wouldn't balk at the idea of getting a re-release with a brand new cover! ;)

right. when it comes to paying tuition or buying kendermore, thats a hard decision. Mary Kirchoff is such a great writer, and gisella is a great character. Oh well, college isnt going anywhere =)

That book would be the same one talked about in this thread - Kendermore, by Mary Kirchoff. Available at a bookstore near you.

On a tangential note, the only case I can think of where a setting detail (not a typo) has been fixed between editions of a DL book has been DoaLS, where the references to the Citadel of Light being on Sancrist in the hardcover were corrected to Schallsea in the paperback, IIRC. Have there been any others?

(Of course, many might see the removal of the Appendix from the paperback of DoaVM as another example . . .;) )

Preludes volume II. The book I happen to be reading right now I have the original printing, so I'll keep my eye out for the half orc reference, then show it to my GM and see if he'll let me play one then :D j/k, stickin with my Kagonesti
