#1ferratusAug 28, 2003 23:34:25 | There is a breif description of ironwood, and how it is "as hard as the metal after which it is named". However, then it goes on to say that it is identical to darkwood. However, darkwood is only as hard as regular wood. It is merely lighter. So thus, ironwood should have the strength and hardness of steel. That would give it a hardness of 10 and 30 hit points per inch. This would allow it to make strong doors, or be used by elves and druids to make armour and strengthen weapons as per the ironwood spell. I beleive that this is my fault, because I was under the impression that darkwood was just 3e ironwood a year or two ago when I posted it to the mailing list. It must have then slipped past the WotC editors. Sorry, my bad. |
