#1zombiegleemaxAug 29, 2003 21:44:40 | Hello everyone, i am a longtime dnd player who has re-discovered dragonlance again after many years of not playing it. I just picked up the new hardback rules setting, and for the most part am enjoying it immensely. I do have 2 questions however and would be grateful for some help. Whatever happened to the three orbs of dragonkind of krynn? Were they destroyed or are they still around? How would you convert them to third edition? What are sea dragons? Am i missing their stats somewhere? |

Shards taken to Mount Nevermind c. 351 AC, not seen since. 1 taken from Silvanesti by Raistlin and broken in a contest of wills with him back in the past. Shards last seen in Zhaman/Skullcap c. 50--100 AC. 1 located in High Clerist's Tower, presumed destroyed during the War of the Lance. 2 unaccounted for--one may be in Zebulon's chambers in sunken Istar. #5zombiegleemaxAug 30, 2003 12:24:37 | Originally posted by Matthew L. Martin Yes, Zebulah was the owner of a blue dragon orb, and another was located in the anvil of time... although technically, the one in the anvil of time could be any of the other orbs.... |
#6zombiegleemaxAug 30, 2003 12:31:26 | What exactly can the Dragon Orbs do? Anything the user wants? |
#7zombiegleemaxAug 30, 2003 13:45:08 | They have some common proporties, and some abilities that are unique to each individual orb... I have seen conflicting reports of their powers though, some descriptions state that they can be used to control dragons, some say they charm them, some say they can only call dragons... I was hoping that they would have a concrete description from them in the DLCS but I guess we will have to wait and see... Personally I think that they should be really powerful, more so than any of the descriptions given to us in the previous AD&D rules, I mean they are like one of the rarest artefacts in the world... They should have the power to go with it... |
