#1 zombiegleemax Sep 02, 2003 8:46:08	I noticed reference to this in another post. Do elves of Krynn sleep? Or do they do the whole trance thing from the PHB?
#2 zombiegleemax Sep 02, 2003 9:00:10	They were sleepingin chronicles, but I favour the trance thing myself. I think it helps establish the alien-ness of elves. My biggest pet peeve is treating elves as humans with pointed ears and a different personality (which is also why I *don't* especially like Elmore's artwork). They are an alien race, the more you can do to establish that difference, the better. However I believe canon has it that they do indeed sleep.
#3 zombiegleemax Sep 02, 2003 9:08:22	Personally, I prefer the sleep thing. In a lot of games I've played, the whole 'I don't sleep, I enter reverie (sp?) for four hours' thing) is abused quite a bit. Of course, ultimately it's a roleplaying thing I suppose. TW

Of course, now folks will quote Dragons of Winter Night when all the heroes at the Tomb of Huma were put to sleep by Silvara, including the elves. But anyway. Cheers, Cam
