#3jonesySep 03, 2003 12:09:07 | Originally posted by Kalanth You've had dracos as disposable troops? I guess that's what a dragonarmy troop commander might think, but from a DM's perspective I can't see them ever having been disposable. I use dragonspawn as Overlord shock troops, nothing more. |
#4kalanthSep 03, 2003 13:03:50 | Originally posted by jonesy I was thinking about it in the way the Dragonlords thought bout them, and the way they are described in the DLCS in parts is as disposable troops. I love em, and use the better ones as major enemies, but I hate the Dragonspawn. |
#5talinthasSep 03, 2003 13:12:31 | a major part of my campaign is that the heroes have discovered a rogue minor dragon has been sitting under port balifor, taking gladiators from the arena and turning them into spawn. its kinda cool =) |
#6ferratusSep 04, 2003 16:38:32 | I'm using dragonspawn myself as personal servants of dragons of all types, not just the minor dragon overlords (though they will be certainly used by them most often). I will be using the "Dragon Disciple" uncahnged from the DMG, because I figure that the gradual process of change would allow for a more stable and more powerful creature than your typical dragonspawn. Thus, they won't explode, and keep the half-dragon template. Gellidus of course is dead (in my campaign) but I plan to be doing many interesting things with dragonspawn in Sable's swamp to make them draconic creatures differing from the draconians. |
