#1factol_rhys_dupSep 04, 2003 15:05:16 | everyone's got one- what's yours? I vote for the maurezhi tanar'ri. So great. They're so great to put into an adventure. Just imagine the faces on the PC's when they hunt down the villain and suddenly he straightens up, his face dissolves into ash and falls away, and underneath is what looks like an eviscerated fiendish zombie who wants to tear your face off and then consume your mind so it can take your form and sneak up on someone else. |
#2zombiegleemaxSep 04, 2003 15:13:56 | Ultroloths, hands down. |
#3Shemeska_the_MarauderSep 04, 2003 17:05:29 | *preens* The Arcanaloth. How could there be any other possible answer. Brains, looks, natural spellcasting ability to shame most mortal wizards by default, and oh yes a heart black enough to make a Night Hags seem warm by comparison. There is that last little lovely detail. *smiles, showing just the barest hints of fangs* "Fiend yes... friendly? No." |
#4zombiegleemaxSep 04, 2003 22:26:57 | Succubi... *Sighs with pleasure* |
#5zombiegleemaxSep 04, 2003 22:53:45 | Dretch. Hordes of dretch . . . More dretch than you can count. . . Even balor slayers fall to hordes of dretch ;) |
#6Shemeska_the_MarauderSep 05, 2003 2:10:57 | And while we're speaking of everyone's favorite fiend... *smiles and acts humble and demure... for a Yugoloth anyways* I submitted a Planescape themed spell, 'Touch of the Fourfold Furnace' in the spell creation contest on the boards at http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1251714#post1251714 and at http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=94464 . So if you feel like making this particular fiend very very happy, take a look at the spell I submitted, and if you like it please vote for it. You'll make the King of the Crosstrade happy, and Sigil will be a much safer place for you and yours. |
#7friendlyfiendSep 05, 2003 2:23:52 | The finest fiend is a friendly fiend, surely.:D |
#8Shemeska_the_MarauderSep 05, 2003 2:38:41 | (*laughing*, gotta love it...) (as tempted as I am to say something like, 'Oh most definately! ... now get back to your shop, don't you have something to dust, or some shelves to restock? Shoo!' I won't) :D |
#9caoslayerSep 05, 2003 3:58:51 | Demogorgon, of course, I ever have this official wallpaper: http://www.interplay.com/bg2throne/images/demowall.jpg ----------------------------------- Ey!!! I also have summited my own spell to that contest: One hundred needles |
#10zombiegleemaxSep 05, 2003 6:18:21 | The Vrock! |
#11kalidor187Sep 05, 2003 7:25:05 | Ever since I first read Hellbound, it has to be the Arcanaloth. |
#12zombiegleemaxSep 05, 2003 12:33:53 | Mephistopheles |
#13primemover003Sep 05, 2003 17:55:08 | It's a toss up between the Armanites or the Goristro!!! |
#14lord_of_the_ninth_02Sep 05, 2003 18:21:04 | Need you even ask? However, I also have a great deal of respect for the greater yugoloths (Arcanaloth, Ultroloth, and Nycaloth). Succubi are neat, but erinyes don't energy drain anyone they kiss, this makes for much longer and more meaningful relationships(;) ). I also like the BoVD's Shadow Demons (although they really ought to have Trap the Soul, not Magic Jar, because you can't actually steal a soul with Magic Jar, and isn't that the whole point?). |
#15zombiegleemaxSep 08, 2003 20:25:54 | Balors and Gelugons Ultroloths are pretty cool as well, along with Marraenoloths |
#16zombiegleemaxSep 08, 2003 20:36:46 | Everyone knows the favorite fiend in all of the multiverse is the arcanoloth. Isn't that right, Shemeska? |
#17Shemeska_the_MarauderSep 08, 2003 20:47:42 | Oh most definately. Earning that nickname of yours I see. :D |
#18zombiegleemaxSep 08, 2003 20:50:31 | Would you expect any less? |

#20zombiegleemaxSep 09, 2003 2:12:39 | Pit fiend.....although I am partial to abishai |
#21mr._vandermeerSep 09, 2003 8:38:08 | I would have to say Pit Fiend as well. And Balors are second. (And when including unique fiends I would choose Asmodeus, and Orcus would be second.) |

#24zombiegleemaxSep 09, 2003 20:01:15 | A REALLY, REALLY drunk Lord Bel. |
#25Shemeska_the_MarauderSep 09, 2003 20:12:11 | I'd pay for pictures of that... |
#26zombiegleemaxSep 09, 2003 22:56:25 | I got better than pictures, check out THIS sensory stone I used to transfer the memory. |
#27zombiegleemaxSep 10, 2003 1:05:28 | Originally posted by Shemeska the Marauder You'd pay jink for pictures of Bel drunk, eh? It just so happens that a very reliable cutter I know gave me the dark of what happens when the Lord of the First decides to indulge... Bel has some really odd fetishes for a pit fiend. And the chant is, that's not ALL he does...If I can just find the pictures somewhere...Of course, a little garnish might help me remember ;) P.S. - I know the scan quality sucks, but that's partly because the picture's unfinished and I used a harder pencil lead rather than soft pencil or ink...I have a bit of touching up to do, but it's not too shabby for a ten-second sketch, if I do say so myself. |
#28Shemeska_the_MarauderSep 10, 2003 1:39:14 | (*BLINK BLINK... snorts coffee all over computer screen*) The razorvine crowned Arcanaloth snickers and smiles, showing the tips of ivory white fangs and hands a none so small purse of jink over. "He doesn't deserve that dress, would look much better on me. After all, I have the figure and well, he's a Baatezu. Good work... very good work...." |
#29old_sageSep 10, 2003 1:41:54 | My favorite fiend-type for use in my campaigns, are the Arcanaloths. |
#30zombiegleemaxSep 10, 2003 1:43:44 | The scaly tiefling tilts his head, winks mischievously and says, "Thanks. This should be enough t' help me get the cutter to talk about what else Bel does when bubbed." |
#31zombiegleemaxSep 10, 2003 12:41:17 | My favorite fiend would have to be Mephistopheles. Anyone who coups themselves to annihilate their traitors, is Lord of the Eighth for as long as he has and still hates Asmodeus enought to get away with it...well c'mon, "Power to the Eighth!" |
#32sildatorakSep 10, 2003 15:17:43 | You have to love Molydei, bossing around Balors, chopping off heads with a flying axe, fun fun fun. |
#33Shemeska_the_MarauderSep 10, 2003 18:09:14 | They were always interesting, for Tanar'ri anyways *chuckle*. Too bad they havn't yet been converted over to 3.0/3.5. |
#34zombiegleemaxSep 11, 2003 1:28:44 | what, no conversion... darn. And I wanted to run in the abyss this weekend. Oh well, better get cracking. |
