Alright, on page 60 of Age of Mortals it gives the statistics of Dalamar, in his feat section it shows him as having the Undead Battery feat (page 209). Can he even benefit from it anymore? He now has his wizard levels back and prepares arcane spells, I'd assume you'd have to cast them "on the fly" to take advantage of the feat. Or am I mistaken? |
#2cam_banksSep 05, 2003 13:01:33 | Originally posted by Nevine The feat does require sorcery or mysticism, as described on p 209. It would work without that, however, since this feat more or less represents how Dalamar managed to continue using his wizard magic during the early Age of Mortals. I can't be entirely sure about this, but my gut instinct is that the "necromancy" that the Shadow Sorcerer taught Dalamar wasn't sorcery or mysticism, as has previously been thought, but the knowledge of how to use stored spell energy collected by the souls of the dead to replace the power of the moons. Therefore, Dalamar was never a sorcerer or mystic, he was a wizard the whole time - able to cast the wizard spells he knew by drawing stolen magic from the souls around the Tower in Nightlund. This being the case, I would open the Undead Battery feat up to any spellcasting character. Cheers, Cam |
