#1IcebergSep 05, 2003 13:51:41 | I looked through some of the other posts before posting this one, so if this has already been asked, I apologize, but has anyone noticed the differences in the artwork in regards to minotaurs? the DLCS has them with hooves while the age of mortals has them with feet. |
#2kalanthSep 05, 2003 13:57:42 | Originally posted by Iceberg I have not recieved a copy of AoM yet, but this is an interesting inconsistency. I use the picture out of the Monsters Manual for my Minotaurs. A bit more ferril in appearence, but so much cooler. |
#3jonesySep 05, 2003 14:18:14 | Quite simply because: 1. There are minotaurs on Krynn who have hooves. 2. There are minotaurs on Krynn who have feet. |
#4lenin97Sep 05, 2003 14:24:15 | This because there are authors whose minotaurs have feet and authors whose minotaurs have hooves. Neither are right and neither are wrong but everyone has their own preference. :D Feet Rule |
#5jonesySep 05, 2003 14:26:40 | Originally posted by jonesy This really should be made completely official by stating it in a sourcebook plain and simple. It would clear away any inconsistencies related to it, and give minotaurs that extra bit of flavor. |
#6zombiegleemaxSep 05, 2003 15:04:22 | Originally posted by jonesy I'm pretty sure in the DLCS under the Minotaur description it says hooves. I don't have the book with me right now so I can't give a page #. |
#7lenin97Sep 05, 2003 15:06:27 | The DLCS does say hooves but what does WOTC know about Dragonlance I still say feet cause Knaak says feet |
#8zombiegleemaxSep 05, 2003 15:12:26 | DLCS page 42: "For the most part, the legs are also humanlike, although their feet end in cleft hooves" There you have it. WotC´s version of a Krynnish minotaur... |
#9ranger_regSep 05, 2003 15:34:15 | I cannot believe that the topic discussed here is the feet/hooves of the minotaur. Can we get past this already and talk about something more useful like their society, culture, custom, tradition, holiday, religion, their form of entertainment, the development of their children, etc.? |
#10lenin97Sep 05, 2003 15:35:20 | Ranger the people just wanna know! :D |
#11ranger_regSep 05, 2003 15:38:44 | Originally posted by Lenin97 They also want to know where the hell is the toilet in the starship Enterprise but I'm not going to dwell on it, too. (Nor will I give direction to it if you have to go.) :P I mean honestly, how will this feet/hooves thing help me role-play a minotaur PC proper? |
#12lenin97Sep 05, 2003 15:40:06 | Originally posted by Ranger REG Oh my god! Where was the toilet on the Enterprise? :D |
#13zombiegleemaxSep 05, 2003 15:42:15 | Wow, Ranger that came from left field. Alot of people actually get annoyed on this point of whether the most powerful nation on Krynn posses feet or whether they have to be shoed, ewww. I for one think that a Minotaur on Krynn has feet. I just can't see a Minotaur going to a cobbler, hehe. |
#14ranger_regSep 05, 2003 15:46:56 | Originally posted by Hammerhand Well, considering that they came from that two island nations, I'd say like me they wear sandals, flip-flop, or slippers. The same applies to the Romanesque counterpart of the League of Minotaurs Empire. And yes, put in my vote. I believe they have FEET. |
#15jonesySep 05, 2003 15:47:17 | I'd like to think that the original Greygem mutations had minor variations, and therefore we now have minotaurs of both kinds. |
