OFFICIAL stats for the Heroes of the Lance?

Sep 11, 2003 10:17:36 Is there anyplace I can find the "official" 3rd edition (or 3.5) write ups for the Heroes of the Lance? I have the 1st edition character statistics (from the "Dragons of Dispair" module) and the 2nd Edition ones (from the Tales of the Lance box set) so I can make some educated guesses as to what the 3.5 stats, skills and feats would be - but.... it's not OFFICIAL!!!

Are there any future Dragonlance suppliments that will feature them?

Anyway...no, there are no "official" stats. And there won't be until next summer, I'm sure.

Sep 11, 2003 10:34:09 Official stats will most likely appear in the War of the Lance sourcebook, tentatively slated for next summer, as Brimstone says. Outside of that I don't know of any "official" product that would feature them.

Oct 18, 2003 14:03:11 I too would like to see any stats for the HOTL set prior to the WOTL, if any one has made any conversion notes could they let me know?

Also, does anyone know (or can guess) when is the birthdate or age of each of the original copmpanions for the year 351 AC?

Oct 18, 2003 17:08:02 Ahh in the 2nd edition of Dragonlance (the Tales of the Lance box set) they had writeups for the heroes along with their birthdates (the months were listed in Krynnish months but I took the liberty of converting them)

Anywho - the orignal companions (pre-Chronicles)

Tanis: 9 March 249
Sturm: 5 August 322
Flint: 11 Jan 203
Tas: 2 Dec 313
Caramon and Raistlin: 17 June 326
Kitiara: 31 Oct 318

Oct 18, 2003 23:08:29 Just as a follow up - I thought It would be interesting to post their Zodiac signs as well (not that our astrology really applies to the world of Krynn but what the heck ) Besides, I've noticed that many of the hero's signs seem very appropriate - I wonder if Weis and Hickman, if they were the ones who actually determined birthdates, had astrology in mind when creating the characters)

Thank you for that information, it was most useful. To bad I didn’t have that info on hand when I told my PCs that Sturm was 16 years old when they met him in the spring of 346. (Grin). So, now that I have a base line of Sturm as a young man in my campaign year I will redo the ages of the other companions and notable NPCs to figure out how old they would be in my campaign. I intend to use the HOTL as “young” NPCs that the party can see “grow” over the years as the party gains levels and mature as adventurers. So far I have:

Hmm…. my PCs just arrived to Solace and I plan for it to be their home base for a while (at least 1st-3rd level), and I have already started to introduce them to some NPCs. They have met Otik at the Inn, Capt. Despare and his Town Guard (that didn’t go well), and Lady Brightblade and her son Sturm (who went off with the parties kender on a secret mission).

Perhaps they can met the young Tika at the Inn working for Otik (he brings her up as his daughter?) They will surely met Kitiara at the Inn on one of her stops, and I will probable have her hit on the parties young male human fighter (and future Knight), and the twins they will meet at some point in their stay in Solace. I can easily see the PCs meeting Riverwind as part of a Qué-Shu hunting party if they ever go in that direction, and they will of course meet the chieftain’s young daughter if they enter the village. As for Tas, Tanis and Flint, I haven’t decided if they will meet them or not. While Laurana and her brother will be off limit until the WOTL starts. Just some ideas………….

I'm guessing Krynn probably doesnt utilize any of the many types of size measurement systems in use here.

Essentially, I'm coming up with different "stat blocks" for different time periods for each character. Tanis, for example, will have stat block at the beginning of Chronicles, the beginning of Legends, and the beginning of DoSF.

It's still a work in progress, though...

So Kitiara can no longer be born on October 31st.

It'll have to be October 30th or November 1st.
