#1zombiegleemaxSep 11, 2003 17:09:39 | I was looking through the 'credits' page of the DLCS (Geez, look at all the board members ;) ) when I noticed there was no mention of Elmore under the Interior Artisit credits. Is this because the centaur was taken from elsewhere? Sorry I have a kender's inane curiousity... Arandur |
#2DragonhelmSep 11, 2003 17:19:03 | Originally posted by Arandur Somehow his credit was missed. Besides, you can spot an Elmore a mile away! lol |
#3brimstoneSep 11, 2003 17:22:01 | Hmmm...that sucks. I hadn't even noticed. And doesn't he have more than just the centaur? I know he's got at least two in the AoM book (but neither were original pieces...they were highjacked from Sov Stone). Either that or they were mislabled on his website. |
#4zombiegleemaxSep 11, 2003 17:33:07 | True Trampas, One just has to look at Elmore's work to know it is his. I think Elmore was one of elements behind DLs success, artwork has a powerful role in RPGs. TO be honest I was kind of hoping Lockwood would have been chained to one of the Wizards easels to do some 'Lance artwork, I was interesting in seeing his artistic 'take' on some DL stuff... In AoM, Larry's art pieces are originals (trust me, they were purchased from my art budget!): Aged Dalamar & Palin (not from Sovereign Stone) Laurana (not from Sovereign Stone) Mina (not from Sovereign Stone) *goes to peek at Larry's site to make sure that he gets that right* o.O; Christopher Christopher |

#8zombiegleemaxSep 11, 2003 20:12:19 | Originally posted by Richard Connery Shadow Dragon was new, as well... *goes to see* *peeks at the Mariner* **hrms** Not Sovereign Stone, I can tell you that... Sovereign Stone doesn't have color interiors. |
#9zombiegleemaxSep 11, 2003 21:36:40 | Originally posted by Stormprince I see. Btw, the mariner pic is on larry's site (http://www.larryelmore.com/LarryElmore/ZGallery/Color/zzPages/MysticPlanes.html) marked as a 1992 pic except it was blended with Ice Boat (http://www.larryelmore.com/LarryElmore/ZGallery/Color/zzPages/IceBoat.html) but the background (mountains and sea) is not from either pic. Do you know what illustration that comes from? |
#10brimstoneSep 12, 2003 11:25:02 | Originally posted by Stormprince Hmm...then you got ripped off. LOL! Seriously though, I know the Mariner is not new, I've seen the original before. The original isn't even the same color. As for the Shadow Dragon....I was almost certain that was a Void Dragon I'd seen somewhere from Sov. Stone. Now it's true...these are different colors...but if it uses the same sketches...I (personally) don't count that as "new" art. |
