It may not be published anymore, but it seems if you are in this part of the forum you probably still have some of the books.

So... Which Player's Secrets sourcebook was/is your favorite?

My personal favorite is the first, Player's Secrets of Roesone.

It seemed to have the best artwork and struck a great balance between filling out the Barony, while leaving enough areas for the players to flesh out.

I didn't really like the "Player's Secrets of..." line. I bought several one time, but never bought another. They just weren't useful very long after the campaign started. AND there were a lot mistakes in them, rule-wise and backstory-wise.

Now, don't get me wrong -- there *was* a lot of stuff in them for $5 a pop. Lots of groovy artwork, maps, and all that, but not the kind of stuff at which I enjoy throwing money (adventures or expansions). I mean, they did a dozen of those those things, at what -- 32 pages? (Hogunmark, the one here at my desk, has 32). That's 384 printed pages. I would've preferred 384 pages on Aduria, the Shadow World, and Djapar, but that's just me

One thing I really *did* like, though, was Warlock of the Stonecrowns. I never figured out how to run it in my previous, Southern Coast-based Anuirean campaign, but I think after I start up my next one, I will change things around enough to fit it in (I hadn't wanted to displace any of the stuff with which my center-of-action interacted). I like the way that adventure is laid out, especially with that timeline. I have used that with all of BR plots since then.

I simply loved those "Player Secrets" - all of them. Its hard to pick a favourite, but I'd have to say either Roesone or Talinie. Tuornen was not bad either, mind you. Endier had some good stuff. Hogunmark ... Tuarhieval, Baruk-Azhik. Yep. Awesome.
