#1zombiegleemaxSep 15, 2003 7:32:18 | Are the team currently working on PS3e also going to put out the rules in an upload of E Tools or the old CharGen? If yes, then will this be along the lines of a pay for Dataset or as a free download? |
#2Shemeska_the_MarauderSep 15, 2003 10:58:10 | Not anyone I know of at the moment, though I guess if anyone wanted to do so they could. And we can't charge for anything, so it would be free if we actually did it. And just out of curiousity, who actually uses E-Tools? I honestly don't know anyone who does, besides obviously yourself since you're asking the question. For starters I personally never found char gen programs that useful, and secondly I got some really bad reviews of the program from other gamers in my area. Now of course with all deference to WotC I could very easily be wrong in my opinions here since I've personally never used it. So *shrug*. Now if moogle wants to answer this, he might do better than me at giving you a definate answer. I don't decide on such things, I just normally shut up and write. :D |
#3zombiegleemaxSep 16, 2003 2:36:54 | I used PCGEN to do a whole set of feats and prestige classes for planescape, and later used the kriegstanz dataset. I've been meaning to do a conversion for ps3e, but haven't found the time yet. Of course, the fact that it's not final yet doesn't help either. |
#4zombiegleemaxSep 16, 2003 10:48:08 | I'm an owner of E-Tools - but can't really use it for much until other data sets become aavilable, but it is getting much better. E-Tools certainly seems to be going in the right direction now - and I'd love to see PS specific material made available. |
#5moogle001Sep 17, 2003 12:12:29 | To my knowledge E-Tools are not suffiently used to warrant development for the software. Should there be an outcry of support for the idea, we're certainly consider it. But as mentioned, there's no point in any such thing while our material is still up for changing. |
