I have by no means read most of the supplements and I've never read any of the novels. Is it described somewhere why this disease happened? Of course, I might bring up my own ideas, but osometimes it is worthwhile to go with the official line

I'm playing Tyrian Conspiracy and one of my PCs is (used to be in fact) a Windancer. She left the tribe a little while ago, and I'm contempleting that said disease has happended after she left. In that way she'll get exposed to the fact that her former tribe has turned from herders to raiders. I have by no means read most of the supplements and I've never read any of the novels.
