#1The_White_SorcererSep 23, 2003 9:11:41 | As one can see, I have a question regarding Encounter 4: New Haven Road from the module Dragons of Despair. The module never says how many baaz draconians are hiding in the trees. What's up with that? |
#2zombiegleemaxSep 23, 2003 13:06:26 | The stat block says 8. Hope that helps Simon Collins |
#3The_White_SorcererSep 23, 2003 13:13:11 | Ah, it certainly helped. Stat block? What stat block? I've got the DragonLance Classics 1 module, not the individual modules (should've mentioned that in the opening post, sorry). Is this "stat block" you speak of something that doesn't appear in DragonLance Classics 1? |

#5The_White_SorcererSep 23, 2003 13:45:33 | Cheers, Cam! I think I'm doing my own conversion, though, but some of the stuff in your conversion (number of monsters in an encounter, for instance, and DCs) are going to be helpful. I noticed one thing, though. Aren't baaz draconians CR 2? I don't have the DLCS yet, but I recall reading that somewhere. You conversion says they're CR 1. |
#6cam_banksSep 23, 2003 14:11:24 | Originally posted by The White Sorcerer Those aren't the draconian stats from the DLCS. They're out-of-date now, and came from Draconian Measures. Use the DLCS where things differ. Cheers, Cam |
#7zombiegleemaxSep 23, 2003 17:41:39 | The '8 Baaz draconians in the stat block' actually came from the original DL1 module. All the original modules can now be downloaded from RPGNow.com in .pdf format if you're interested, at $4.95 a shot. |
#8The_White_SorcererSep 23, 2003 17:51:01 | I already downloaded the DL Classics modules at 4.something a pop. Don't think my dad would approve of using his credit card again. Why was something so important taken away from the DL Classics modules, I wonder? Kinda silly, and annoying. Sucks. Could someone be kind enough to post (or e-mail) this information (number of creatures encountered in an encouter) for the first module, for all encounters? I know I'm asking a lot, but it would be greatly appreciated. Cam: Are the numbers (of creatures encountered) in your conversion based on the original modules? If so, then I'll be using those. |
