#2Ryltar_SwordsongSep 24, 2003 0:14:36 | Jeremo the Natterer is the Lady's Jester. He's kind of a puppet master who controls the city's civil service and its bureaucracy. He also translates Dabus'pictograms into common using his Helm of the Dabus. |

Almost a rival I might say, except that he's been almost utterly absent from the games of the Golden Lords. That may be changing now that he's achieved his coveted position of factol of the Ring Givers. Not that he truly personifies the faction. He uses the position more than embodies it. Jeremo might seem unbalanced, or too talkative, or... touched to some. But don't believe it for a second. The man is charismatic to a fault, and the single wealthiest blood in all of Sigil. One of the wealthiest bloods in all the planes actually. And he's finally gotten himself in charge of his own faction. A pity he hasn't been flayed alive for being openly the leader of a faction. If he succeeds in his further ambitions of having power upon the Sigil Advisory council, I for one, won't be around for the first meeting when I suspect he would be mazed for the association of official and unofficial power that was the spirit of the law for Her Serenity's edict in the first place. Or maybe I'm just covetous of his waxing power, and see it a thin reflection of my own power in The Cage which is second to none if you ask any who know of such things. A curious Palace he has, and his title to go along with it... inherited or self given? He mgiht have placed the title upon himself to confer an air of authority to himself, but the Palace of the Jester has been named that since I myself entered Sigil so long long ago, and before that time as well. It is ancient even by the reckoning of that word. Perhaps the oldest surviving structure inside Sigil. And Jeremo has been having problems within his Palace as well. Cranium rats, or so I hear. But more than that the Palace hides darks I'd love to get my hands upon. The origin of the structure for one, and the link between the Natterer's tarnished crown and his namesake Palace. He can speak with the Dabus, or so it seems. He treads upon a shadowy path strewn with razors my friends. He would do well to have a patron to help him navigate his course. A patron such as myself. After all, those bloods whose actions might run them afoul of The Lady have entrusted me with their safety before, and I have kept them safe have I not? Look at Ramander the Wise, he professes to 'own' portals within Sigil and let lives. I claim nothing on the matter, except that I promised him safety, and so he yet lives. Draw your own conclusions... Jeremo has his own issues as well. Ingwe, the former factol whom he displaced is still alive. And Jeremo is endebted to him, such as Ingwe 'gifted' the faction upon Jeremo. And a debt and a gift is a powerful thing indeed for a Ring-Giver. The karmic wheel they believe in may come full circle eventually.' *the 'loth sits back and sips upon a golden cup of expensive drink, smiling faintly over the gleaming lip of the cup, looking at you* (Jeremo gets some serious coverage in the upcoming Guide to Sigil from Planewalker.com, much expanded over the tiny bit within 'In the Cage' and his mysterious Palace is given more detail as well. Strange, mysterious and time shrouded place it is...) |
#6dungeonmogriiSep 25, 2003 22:25:30 | thank you all, this has been very helpful indeed now, for the second question, does anyone know the names of Tiamat's draconic consorts? excluding the red one, they don't seem to be anywhere at all |
